Important changes to how the Scheme operates

Posted: 23 June, 2016. Written by Georgia

From the beginning of July onwards, all compost samples sent by CCS operators to the CCS Appointed Laboratories for certification purposes will need to be labelled and accompanied by a new PAS100 Compost Analysis Request Form. REAL CCS, in conjunction with the CCS Appointed Laboratories, has revised the PAS100 tests request form which can be downloaded from our website here. Guidance for operators concerning how to label samples correctly, and how to correctly fill out the accompanying paperwork, can be found on the CCS website here.

The resulting PAS100 test reports will be sent to the CCS database by the laboratories. These results can then be accessed by both REAL and the CCS Certification Bodies through the database. This accessibility will enable the Scheme to become more transparent. However please note that these results will not become publicly available. More information can be found on the Sample testing / Labs page of our website, although if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us: info@qualitycompost.org.uk.
