In consultation with the Environmental Regulators and the Certification Bodies, and in light of the current situation regarding COVID-19, we have agreed the following concerning annual/renewal audits going forwards.
From this month, the Certification Bodies will be scheduling on-site audits, where possible, and remote audits will continue to take place where necessary e.g. if the auditor or site are assessed as at high risk.
The remote auditing process has proven to be robust and effective thus far. However, as agreed with the Environmental Regulators and the Certification Bodies, on-site audits shall resume where possible; where the auditor and operator can comply with government guidance including social distancing, hygiene practises and PPE.
